We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team in Dubai as Claims Executive. Could it be you?

Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to handle claims of P&I Principals promptly, professionally and effectively.

The job involves meeting monthly targets, handling marine incidents and claims, providing updates and respond to enquiries from Principals and Members, liaising with third party contractors, and increasing the business. The successful candidate will also maintain and update the NYK Database as GAC Dubai serves as their regional centre. The job contributes by taking care of insurance claims and generating income to meet departmental financial targets

Key Responsibilities

Achieve set financial target every month and follow up on outstanding payments

Handle marine incidents and claims from initial notification to conclusion

Read and respond to all correspondence and incoming mails from Principals and Members

Give accurate information when required to clarify queries from Principals / Members

Maintain accurate and regular time sheets of all work done and account for all disbursements

Liaise with third party contractors and use them appropriately in terms of claim handling

Build confidence of Principals / Members

Attend to new NYK matters and enter on database using Citrus

Increase business and profits for the department, secure future business

Job requirements

Requirements

Degree in legal studies or marine qualification

Preferably, hold a UAE Driving License

Good knowledge of local laws, and good local contacts with agents, third party contractors, port and government officials.

Excellent English communication skills with knowledge of other language

Proficient in office and communication applications / software

Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role;
