Job Title: Electrical Technician G2

Department: Facility Management

Job Purpose:

Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investigate problems and perform repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment.
2. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
3. Monitor and inspect heating and cooling systems to ensure proper operation.
4. Install and maintain electrical equipment, motors, and electrical panels.
5. Lay out wires and lighting systems.
6. Perform general and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
7. Ensure installations meet set standards.
8. Secure loose wires and perform checks on motors and belts.
9. Replace worn-out parts and order supplies as needed.
10. Respond to emergency situations promptly.
11. Maintain tools and equipment.
12. Update readings for chilled water and manage building management systems.
13. Maintain, install, and repair electrical components of equipment such as boilers, doors, fans, lights, and alarm systems.
14. Maintain and troubleshoot emergency generators.
15. Ensure the fire alarm system is secure.
16. Ensure proper treatment of chilled water chemicals.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience with electronic and mechanical systems.
• Technical knowledge in electrical system design and implementation.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of commercial mechanical and electrical systems.
