Job summary

Penspen is hiring a highly experienced Civil/Structural Site Inspection Engineer in Abu Dhabi to oversee contracts, executions, and compliance across disciplines in line with UAE regulations. The role focuses on supervision of civil and structural construction activities, site inspections, ITPs, NCRs, and closeout activities.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 10 years in Oil & Gas, industrial and structural sectors, with strong communication and coordination skills and familiarity with UAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, industrial and structural.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and authority procedures is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Previous UAE/GCC experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, project specs, QA/QC requirements, and industry standards.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing in accordance with ITPs and quality procedures.
• Verify works are supported by approved Shop Drawings, MS, MAR, and ITRs.
• Monitor concrete, reinforcement, formwork, and structural works for quality and safety.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and testing labs for timely inspections and compliance.
• Review NCRs, monitor corrective actions, and support project closeout and As-Built verification.
• Report construction progress and technical issues to the Construction Manager and project team.

We are hiring a highly experienced Civil/Structural Site Inspection Engineer with a background in Oil & Gas, industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing contracts, executions, and compliance across multiple disciplines in line with UAE regulations.

The duty of the Inspection Engineer shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:

• Supervise civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, QA/QC requirements, and industry standards.
• Conduct site inspections and witness testing in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality procedures.
• Verify that all works are supported by approved Shop Drawings, Method Statements (MS), Material Approval Requests (MAR), and Inspection & Test Requests (ITRs).
• Monitor concrete, reinforcement, formwork, and structural works to ensure quality, safety, and constructability.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and testing laboratories to ensure timely inspections and compliance with project requirements.
• Review non-conformance reports (NCRs), monitor corrective actions, and support project closeout, including verification of As-Built drawings.
• Report construction progress, technical issues, and quality concerns to the Construction Manager and project team.
