Job summary

Job description

  • Conduct site inspections and monitor civil/structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and local regulations.
  • Review method statements, ITPs, material submittals, and shop drawings related to structural components.
  • Ensure quality control and workmanship standards are maintained during construction activities.
  • Identify non-conformities, issue site instructions, and ensure proper rectifications are executed.
  • Coordinate closely with contractors and project stakeholders to address technical issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records, inspection logs, and progress reports.
  • Support the Resident Engineer or Structural Engineer in supervising all civil/structural elements on-site.
  • Participate in progress meetings and inspections with clients and authorities when required.
  • Ensure safe practices are followed on-site and report any safety violations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Must have 8-10 years of total experience, with strong exposure to large-scale and high-rise building projects in the UAE.
  • Background in engineering consultancy or supervision firms is a must.
  • Solid understanding of international codes (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocode) and UAE authority regulations.
  • Excellent knowledge of structural systems, concrete works, reinforcement detailing, and material standards.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with site inspection reporting tools.
  • Must be locally available in the UAE and ready to join immediately or within 12 weeks.
