Job summary

A leading construction company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Draftsman to prepare and develop detailed civil and structural drawings. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in large-scale building projects within the UAE/GCC and be proficient in AutoCAD, with strong attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to be involved in complex projects and contribute to the successful coordination of designs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Draftsman, preferably in large-scale building projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong understanding of civil works, excavation, and temporary shoring systems.
• Experience in complex projects involving large basements and steel-concrete interface coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed civil and structural drawings including early works such as:
  • Site facilities layouts
  • Excavation drawings
  • Temporary shoring works
• Support design and drafting activities during the early construction phases.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications standards and guidelines.
• Assist in resolving design and drafting issues during coordination between steel and concrete structures.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure revisions are tracked and updated.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Civil/Structural Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Draftsman preferably in large-scale building projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil works excavation and temporary shoring systems.
• Experience in civil works and structural coordination.
• Experience in complex projects involving large basements and steel-concrete interface coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
