Civil Project Engineer (Contracting)

The Civil Project Engineer (Contracting) is responsible for managing and executing construction projects from the planning phase through to completion, ensuring all activities comply with contractual obligations, project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. This role involves coordinating with contractors, consultants, and clients, as well as overseeing on-site construction activities to deliver quality outcomes within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, manage, and monitor the civil construction project lifecycle from mobilization to handover.
2. Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure execution aligns with contractual terms.
3. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants for smooth workflow.
4. Oversee and supervise site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and time standards.
5. Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and resolve technical challenges promptly.
6. Monitor resource allocation and manage materials, labor, and equipment requirements on-site.
7. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
8. Ensure all documentation is maintained and updated as per regulatory and contractual standards.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in civil contracting and project execution.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and safety regulations.
4. Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
5. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Valid engineering license or certification is preferred.
