Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Finishing Foreman (Joinery) to oversee and manage all joinery finishing works on-site. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality workmanship, adherence to project timelines, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate finishing joinery works, including woodwork, cabinetry, doors, panels, and other interior fit-out elements.
2. Ensure all joinery work meets quality standards and project specifications.
3. Plan and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and tools, to achieve project milestones.
4. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications.
5. Conduct site inspections to identify defects and implement corrective actions.
6. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
7. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following health and safety regulations.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to the joinery team.
9. Keep records of site activities, progress reports, and material usage.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in joinery finishing works, preferably in the construction or fit-out industry.
2. Education: Diploma or Certification in Carpentry, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and installation techniques.
4. Supervisory Skills: Ability to manage and lead a team of carpenters and laborers.
5. Communication Skills: Proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
6. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve site-related issues efficiently.
7. Work Ethics: Attention to detail, time management, and commitment to quality workmanship.

Preferred:

1. Experience working in GCC countries.
2. Familiarity with AutoCAD and other construction-related software.
3. Valid UAE / GCC driving license (if required).
