As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the design work of projects and work predominantly under a particular project.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities, BEDD, etc.
- Prepare civil / structural design calculations complying with Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) and the International Standards.
- Create hand-drawn sketches for Designers / Draftsmen to prepare drawings.
- Check drawings prepared by Draftsmen / Designers.
- Calculate quantities and prepare Material Take-Off (MTO) / Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
- Prepare bar-bending schedules, structural steel shop drawings.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, material requisitions, and conduct technical bid evaluations.
- Refer to project specifications applicable for the project engineering work.
- Coordinate with drawings and documents from other disciplines as applicable.
- Ensure QHSE requirements are fulfilled in design calculations and drawings.
- Visit sites as required to resolve engineering problems on-site.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or higher qualification in civil engineering from a reputable college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years proven work experience in design related to oil and gas, infrastructure, or building industries.
- Must be in good health, physically fit, and active.
- Possess good analytical, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), AutoCAD, and other design/engineering software.
- Knowledge of civil engineering software such as STAAD, MAT3D, etc.
- Positive attitude, highly motivated, dynamic, and hardworking.
- Flexible and capable of working under pressure to meet project demands.
