Job summary

STAR SERVICES LLC in Abu Dhabi invites a Civil Engineer (Night Shift) to lead civil works on a substation construction project. You will supervise night-time activities, coordinate subcontractors, surveyors, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure safe, on-time execution.

The role requires a civil engineering degree and 5–10 years of relevant experience in high-voltage substation projects, with strong coordination with EDF/TAQA representatives and project management. Immediate joiner preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in substation construction (132kV/220kV/400kV).
• Experience managing civil works execution, subcontractors, quality, and HSE.
• Familiarity with UAE utility projects and client/consultant coordination.
• TAQA competency as Civil Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all civil construction activities during the night shift.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, surveyors, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure safe and timely execution.
• Monitor progress against the approved schedule and meet productivity targets.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, drawings, method statements, and permits.
• Coordinate with the day shift team for smooth handover.
• Report daily progress, issues, resource needs, and site constraints.
• Liaise with EDF/TAQA representatives, consultants, and project management as required.
• Ensure quality workmanship and immediate resolution of site issues.
• 6 days work week.
• Need immediate joiner.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in substation construction projects (132kV/220kV/400kV or similar utility projects).
• Experience in managing civil works execution, subcontractors, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Familiarity with UAE utility projects and client/consultant coordination is preferred.
