Job summary

Siemens Energy in Dubai is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to work with senior engineers on tenders and projects, reviewing drawings and supporting bid documentation across Civil, Electrical, MEP, and design teams. You will assist in technical submissions, planning, and site inspections while gaining insight into how Siemens Energy delivers critical energy infrastructure in the region.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Understanding of tendering processes and basic project planning.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and assist in tender inputs and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, MEP, Design, and Project teams for reviews of civil layouts and drawings.
• Prepare technical submissions, reports, and method statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in construction planning, sequencing, and review of subcontractor submissions.
• Support site inspections, progress monitoring, and maintenance of project data and lessons learned.
• Contribute to adoption of AI and digital tools to improve efficiency in tendering and project execution.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Civil Engineer Intern you'll work alongside senior engineers on real, active tenders and projects reviewing technical drawings, supporting bid documentation, and coordinating across Civil, Electrical, MEP, and design teams giving your contributions direct visibility into how Siemens Energy delivers critical energy infrastructure to clients across the region.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Review tender documents, technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements, and support the preparation of technical tender inputs, bid documentation, quantity assessments, and preliminary cost estimates.
• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, MEP, Design, and Project teams to review civil layouts, structural drawings, and building arrangements, contributing to interdisciplinary design coordination and technical reviews.
• Support the preparation of technical submissions, reports, method statements, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in construction planning, sequencing, and execution activities, including reviewing subcontractor and supplier technical submissions for compliance and quality.
• Support site inspections, progress monitoring, and the resolution of technical issues, while maintaining accurate engineering records, project data, and lessons learned for future reference.
• Contribute to the adoption of AI, digital tools, and automation to improve efficiency across tendering, engineering coordination, data analysis, and project execution, while helping teams meet required quality, schedule, and technical standards.

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a fresh graduate.
• Solid foundational knowledge of civil construction methods, structural works, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• A basic working understanding of tendering processes, project planning principles, and execution activities within an engineering or construction context.
• Strong analytical thinking skills paired with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Effective coordination and collaboration skills to work across multidisciplinary teams including Civil, Electrical, MEP, and Design functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (mandatory), with working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred, and familiarity with Civil 3D/Revit and Primavera P6 considered an advantage.
