Job summary

YO IT Consulting is hiring a Civil Engineer to develop and validate AI evaluation tasks for civil engineering projects in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. You will create realistic scenarios across structural design, transportation, water systems, and site development, ensuring compliance with applicable codes.

Ideal candidates have five years of professional civil engineering experience, strong knowledge of codes and standards, and the ability to document assumptions and scoring

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional civil engineering experience across relevant project domains.
• PE license or active pursuit of licensure strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance documentation.
• Experience preparing or reviewing drawings, reports, specifications, calculations, geotechnical information, cost estimates, and datasets.
• Ability to reason through design constraints and identify technically defensible, compliant solutions.
• Excellent written communication to document evaluation tasks, assumptions, and grading criteria.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic civil engineering evaluation tasks spanning structural design, transportation systems, water infrastructure, and site development.
• Develop technical source materials including drawings, geotechnical reports, specifications, cost estimates, code extracts, and datasets.
• Construct problems balancing design constraints, regulatory obligations, constructability, safety, and project requirements.
• Determine technically accurate solutions using applicable civil engineering principles and codes.
• Review AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and completeness.
• Build detailed evaluation rubrics that assess methodology, calculations, documentation, and code adherence.
• Interpret regulatory standards and translate provisions into measurable task requirements.
• Validate drawings, calculations, reports, spreadsheets, CSV files, PDFs, and related artifacts.
• Identify inconsistencies between design assumptions, site conditions, specifications, and proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve task clarity, realism, depth, and scoring consistency.
• Maintain high quality across submissions while meeting delivery expectations.
