Job Description

Civil Engineers are responsible for the conception, design, development, and management of projects in the built environment. Their key duties include :

Reports To

The Civil Engineer ( Construction Management experience ) reports to the Head of Discipline, Civil & Structural.

Job Overview

• Conduct site arrangement studies for accessibility, erection methods, and to ensure access for personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Review past construction experiences to identify lessons learned and propose improvements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for field activities.
• Contribute construction input to the Project master schedule, including development of construction logic, sequence planning, and activity durations.
• Assist in developing Project estimates and budgets, including transportation costs.
• Plan and identify all temporary works required during construction.
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs involved in the project.
• Provide technical advice and creative solutions for construction challenges.
• Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring high standards of construction and safety.
• Lead and supervise the construction team and on-site progress.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare bid proposals and environmental impact statements.
• Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors and other stakeholders.
• Schedule material and equipment procurement and deliveries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 6-10 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership, coordination, analytical, and proactive approach, especially in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries.

Knowledge of industry-specific software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other CAD tools.
