Overview

Civil Engineer (Roads, Infrastructure, Bridges) — Dubai, UAE

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role you will assist the Resident Engineer in design review and construction-related to structural works of the project. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute to the infrastructure of Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Assist and deputize for the Resident Engineer (RE) as required, ensuring seamless project oversight.
• Ensure construction and operations & maintenance (O&M) work align with the Contract Documents, meeting the required standards.
• Actively participate in contract administration and related activities.
• Review and evaluate Contractor’s submissions, providing clear feedback.
• Offer on-site guidance and issue site instructions to ensure work proceeds according to the plan.
• Supervise the site inspection team, ensuring thorough and effective inspections.
• Perform regular checks and measurements of completed work to confirm accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety standards and practices on-site.
• Oversee the quality control of materials and workmanship to maintain high standards.
• Track and record project progress against the established program, identifying any discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed progress reports to keep stakeholders informed on project status.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of as-built drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in construction supervision or operation and maintenance of roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Be fully computer literate and proficient in using technology to access data, maintain records, and generate reports.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrate strong technical writing abilities.
