Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Laboratory/Quality supervisor to develop tests with the technical team, manage materials and supervise testing while ensuring compliance with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and OSHAS standards. You will oversee sample testing, report release, and material evaluations, coordinating with customers on corrective actions.

The role also involves training planning, maintaining documentation, and supporting sales to foster new business opportunities

Qualifications

• Mandatory UAE Driving Licence (Light Vehicle).
• Minimum 1 year of valid UAE driving license holding period.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop tests and technologies with the wider technical team.
• Manage materials and testing capabilities.
• Undertake laboratory work, arrangement and supervision of testing.
• Identify, monitor and evaluate day-to-day activities of the Laboratory.
• Manage technologies to ensure delivery to specification, on time and within budget.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new tests and technologies of interest to Wimpey laboratories.
• Receive samples, perform tests and release reports on time.
• Analyze and assess raw materials and compile technical reports of findings.
• Identify and evaluate alternative materials and contingency planning.
• Develop initiatives and action plans to reduce complaints and non-conformances; coordinate with customers for corrective actions.
• Maintain all test files and compliance documents to external standards.
• Support sales and marketing to identify new customers and bring in new business.
• Achieve the department's business plan and targets.
• Establish training calendar and execute accordingly.
• Develop and implement quality management system per ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 and local requirements.

Job description

• Key responsibility is to work with the wider technical team in the development of new tests and technologies.

• Management of materials and additional testing capabilities.

• Will undertake laboratory work, arrangement, and supervision of testing.

• Identify, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day activities of the Laboratory.

• Management of technologies to ensure that they are delivered to specification, on time and within the budget.

• Continually maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new tests and technologies that are of interest to Wimpey laboratories.

• Receive samples, perform tests, and release reports on time.

• Analysis and assessment of raw materials and compile technical reports of findings.

• Identify and evaluate alternative materials. (Contingency planning)

• In conjunction with the wider team, develop initiatives and action plans to reduce the level of complaints and non-conformances. In case of customer complaints, coordinate with the customer, follow corrections, root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action.

• Maintain all test files including documents providing compliances to external standards.

• Support sales and marketing team to identify new customers and to bring new business.

• Achieve agreed business plan and target of the department.

• Establish training calendar and execute accordingly.

• Develop, implement, maintain and achieve quality management system as per ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 and other local regulatory requirements.

• To carry out other duties as is within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by your Manager.
