Civil Draftsman

• Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, plans, and schematics using AutoCAD or other relevant software.
• Interpret and work from sketches, verbal instructions, and project specifications to create designs.
• Assist in the preparation of construction drawings for projects like roads, utilities, drainage, and other civil structures.
• Review and modify existing drawings to incorporate design changes, revisions, and improvements.
• Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Assist in site surveys and gathering data to create accurate drawings and plans.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project files.
• Provide support to the engineering team with any drafting-related tasks as needed.
• Conduct quality control checks on designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Civil CAD Draftsman or similar role in civil engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, codes, and best practices.
• Experience in preparing drawings for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, drainage, etc.
• Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Relevant technical or associate degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or related field is preferred.
