Job summary

MediaSource FZC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Draftsman – Engineering Specialized to support municipal infrastructure and transportation projects. You will produce detailed drawings, maintain DXF/DWG records, and ensure compliance with standards.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years in civil drafting, strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation skills, and experience with BIM workflows; on-site coordination and documentation support will be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associate degree in civil-related field is required or preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering technology is advantageous.
• Certifications in AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation/BIM are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, sections, profiles, and technical illustrations for municipal and transportation projects.
• Develop layouts for roads, highways, bridges, drainage systems, utilities, traffic infrastructure, and related facilities.
• Convert conceptual sketches, engineering calculations, and technical specifications into accurate engineering drawings.
• Assist engineers in the preparation of design packages and technical documentation.
• Ensure all drawings comply with approved design criteria, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, planners, architects, and project teams to obtain technical information.
• Attend technical meetings to clarify design details and project requirements.
• Support design reviews and ensure technical comments are reflected in revised drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants regarding drawing submissions and revisions.
