Job summary

Rawaj-HCM seeks a Civil Design Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead civil and structural design for HV/EHV transmission substations within a fast-growing consultancy. The role requires existing TAQA Transmission (TAQA-T) approval and strong coordination with electrical, architectural, and MEP teams.

You will develop foundations, equipment supports, cable trenches, and control buildings, review calculations, and ensure TAQA-T compliance across projects in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• TAQA-T approval as Civil Design Engineer is mandatory.
• Experience in civil and structural design for HV/EHV substations.
• Experience on Abu Dhabi transmission substation projects.
• Familiarity with TAQA-T design standards, specifications, and submission procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review civil and structural designs for HV/EHV transmission substation projects in accordance with TAQA-T standards and specifications.
• Design and assess equipment foundations, structural supports, cable trenches, duct banks, control buildings, and other associated substation civil works.
• Prepare and review civil/structural design calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with TAQA-T design requirements, technical standards, and submission procedures.
• Coordinate with electrical, architectural, and MEP design teams to ensure design integration and resolve technical interfaces.
• Review design documents and drawings to ensure technical accuracy, quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
• Support technical submissions, respond to review comments, and incorporate required revisions to obtain design approvals.
• Collaborate with project teams and relevant stakeholders to resolve design issues and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
