Job summary

SAM Building Contracting (L.L.C) is looking for a Civil Draftsman to prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil projects in the UAE. You will develop site layouts, road profiles, utilities, and structures while ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.

Collaborate with engineers, architects, and team members, revise drawings based on feedback, and maintain organized documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Civil Drafting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a civil draftsman or similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting software.
• Understanding of civil engineering concepts and construction processes.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with BIM and GIS is a plus.
• Exposure to structural and architectural drafting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for civil projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, road profiles, and utility layouts.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to collect design specs and resolve issues.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and keep documents organized.
• Ensure drawings comply with local regulations, codes and standards.
• Maintain drawing files and related documents per company standards.
• Conduct site visits to gather data or verify measurements.
• Assist in quantity take-offs and bill of materials.
