Job Description

A Civil Cost Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring accurate budget management and cost control for all assigned projects. The role involves monitoring project expenditures, forecasting costs, and maintaining alignment with project budgets to ensure profitability and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Budget Management and Financial Oversight:
    • Analyze and review tender budgets to prepare cost control plans.
    • Finalize contingency provisions and ensure alignment with target profitability.
  2. Cost Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor actual monthly costs against allocated budgets.
    • Highlight variances promptly and suggest corrective actions.
  3. Financial Data Review:
    • Analyze accruals, invoice payments, purchase orders, material deliveries, and other financial records.
  4. Forecasting and Profitability Assessment:
    • Submit monthly forecast reports on financial statuses of projects.
    • Assess projected profitability.
  5. Manpower and Resource Planning:
    • Participate in finalizing manpower histograms and resource allocation plans.
  6. Cost Reconciliation and Reporting:
    • Assist in preparing and presenting monthly cost reports comparing actual costs to budgets.
    • Develop forecasts for work-in-place, commitments, and projected costs to completion.
  7. ERP System Implementation:
    • Set up and monitor cost control procedures within the ERP system for seamless financial data integration.
  8. Close-Out and Project Completion:
    • Monitor and implement cost control measures throughout all project stages up to close-out.
