Job Description:

Civil 3D BIM Modeler (Roads & Highways)

Location: Abu Dhabi

The key responsibility for the Civil 3D BIM Modeler role is to support the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams in executing the day-to-day development, establishment, and implementation of BIM at Parsons' main office in Abu Dhabi. The BIM Modeler must possess strong CAD/BIM technical skills to produce 3D/2D models, perform quality checks, coordinate, and analyze constructability.

Responsibilities:

1. Support BIM implementation activities with the BIM Coordinator and Project Delivery Teams.
2. Develop 3D/2D models for drawings, clash reports, and presentations, adhering to project standards and LOD requirements.
3. Extract models for clash analysis, schedule review, and quantity surveying.
4. Coordinate model interfaces with multidisciplinary designers and engineers.
5. Ensure all models and drawings meet quality standards and BIM requirements.
6. Prepare engineering drawings from models, including layouts, profiles, and sections.
7. Develop and extract 2D geometry for reviews and meetings.
8. Deliver Project Information Models (PIMs) following protocols.
9. Prepare BIM submission packages per standards.
10. Conduct clash detection and walkthroughs.
11. Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
12. Coordinate with the lead technical engineer to ensure timely deliverables.

Desired Skills:

• Civil 3D modeling and workflows
• Knowledge of Civil 3D catalogs, libraries, standards, and naming conventions
• Experience with clash detection and model extraction
• Familiarity with international standards like ISO 19650 and PAS 1192
• Proficiency in BIM authoring and collaboration platforms such as Navisworks, BIM 360, AutoCAD
• Roads & Highways project experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering or ITI from an accredited institution
• At least 3 years of Civil 3D experience with proficiency in current versions
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Expertise in Civil 3D features including parametric modeling, federated models, and shared coordinates
• Knowledge of BIM standards and model requirements
