Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Child Life Therapistto join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. This role is based within one of the UAE’s largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, renowned for its patient-centered approach and specialized pediatric care services. The Child Life Therapist will play a vital role in supporting children and their families as they cope with hospitalization, illness, and medical procedures by providing emotional support, therapeutic play, and age-appropriate education..

Other responsibilities include but are limitedto :

  • Provide counseling and psychosocial support to patients and families dealing with medical, emotional, and social challenges.
  • Assess patients’ social, emotional, and financial needs, and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, healthcare providers, and community resources.
  • Support families in coping with long-term illnesses, rehabilitation, and end-of-life care.
  • Assist in discharge planning and coordinate post-hospitalization services.
  • Advocate for patients’ rights, ensuring they receive adequate support and resources.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and referrals.
  • Conduct awareness and educational sessions as part of holistic healthcare delivery.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity at all times.
