The Opportunity

As Chief Product Officer and reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of approximately 60 experts across hardware, software, data applications, and program management. Your mission is to deliver innovative, customer-centric products that drive business growth and global impact.

The technology comprises various systems and sub-systems, and product development will focus on each component element of the solution and their overall progression.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Executive Product Engineering leader to join the business at a pivotal point in its growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product and systems strategy, development, and lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Identify and adapt emerging technology trends to support product development.
• Lead cross-functional engineering and product teams to ensure system-wide integration and scalability.
• Oversee a multi-million-pound annual budget to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Develop partnerships with academia, research institutions, and customers to stay ahead of tech and market trends.
• Implement rigorous ISO-certified development and change management processes.

Candidate requirements

We are seeking an experienced Product Engineering leader with most of the following:

• Extensive experience in an executive or director role within a complex product engineering environment, preferably in a medium-large international organization.
• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• An inspiring and collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills.
• Experience scaling complex products and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• A systems thinker with experience in industrial automation, electronics, data science, and AI.
• Strong commercial acumen.
