Position Overview :

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our organization. The ideal candidate brings a wealth of international experience, particularly in the fintech sector. A proven track record in managing operations and scaling businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa is essential. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of consumer lending and payment systems, who can drive our companys growth and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement the companys strategic vision and mission, driving growth and innovation in consumer lending and payments.
  • Operational Management : Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of financial services and the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion : Lead the expansion of our services into new markets, with a strong emphasis on Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring compliance with local regulations and adapting services to meet regional needs.
  • Financial Oversight : Manage the companys financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Team Leadership : Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, and key partners. Represent the company at industry events and forums.
  • Technology Integration : Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance our service offerings and operational efficiency.
  • Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks associated with the companys operations and market expansion.

Qualifications :

  • Education : A masters degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or another advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum of 15 years of experience in the fintech industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • International Expertise : Demonstrated success in leading operations and business expansion in Sub-Saharan Africa and other international markets.
  • Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of consumer lending and payment systems, with a proven ability to navigate regulatory environments.
  • Leadership Skills : Strong strategic vision, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and lead diverse teams.
  • Financial Acumen : Robust financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and driving financial performance.
  • Tech-Savvy : Familiarity with fintech innovations and the ability to integrate technology into business operations.
  • Blockchain Knowledge : Familiarity with digital assets and blockchain technologies, and their applications in fintech.
