Job description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Officer with a strong background on board cutter suction dredgers to join our worldwide working client's expanding dredging crew.

This role specifically involves working as Chief Mate on a cutter suction dredger.

As the Chief Mate on a cutter suction dredger, you will play a crucial role in the dredging operations. You will work closely with the vessel's master and share responsibility for overseeing the dredging process. You will supervise dredging activities and maintenance, as well as respond effectively to unexpected situations, including emergencies.

Immediate integration into the existing well-coordinated dredging team is essential to ensure the smooth continuation of production.

Requirements

• National Certificate of Competency at least Chief Mate 3000GT
• Seaman's book
• Valid Maritime Approval
• Valid STCW training
• Fluent in verbal and written English
• Proven experience as Chief Mate on board various (larger) hoppers
