Job Title : Chief Investment Officer

Job Summary :

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading the organization’s investment strategy, portfolio management, and capital allocation activities. This role plays a critical part in driving sustainable financial growth, evaluating new opportunities, and managing risk across diverse asset classes. The CIO will work closely with the executive team and external partners to align investment decisions with the organization’s long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute the organization’s investment strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Oversee management of investment portfolios including equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative assets.
• Identify, evaluate, and lead due diligence for new investment opportunities (locally and globally).
• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct financial and risk analysis, and recommend strategic adjustments.
• Present investment strategies and performance reports to the Board and executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, fund managers, advisors, and government stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor the investment team, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
• Support the CEO in strategic partnerships, M&A initiatives, and capital structuring.
• Contribute to ESG, sustainability, and national economic development objectives where applicable.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s / MBA or CFA preferred)
• 15 to 20+ years of experience in investment management, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, asset management, or corporate finance
• Proven track record in managing large-scale, diversified investment portfolios
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
• In-depth knowledge of the regulatory frameworks and regional / global markets
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities
