About the Role
Chief Investment Officer (CIO) - Guoga Family Office
Location: Dubai / UAE (preferable - remote if necessary)
Seniority: Senior / Executive Level
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the investment strategy: asset allocation, portfolio mix, risk framework, scenario analysis, and drawdown protection.
- Lead due diligence and selection of external investment managers and funds; monitor and evaluate performance.
- Oversee the construction, monitoring, and rebalancing of the portfolio to ensure it matches long-term goals in a disciplined, data-driven manner.
- Provide regular reporting, analysis, and insight: what’s working, what isn’t, what trends are emerging.
- Integrate research across sectors, geographies, and asset classes to generate differentiated investment ideas and insights.
- Evaluate and incorporate newer asset classes (e.g. digital assets, private equity / venture, alternatives) while maintaining diligence and alignment.
- Manage relationships with outside partners: fund managers, counterparties, co-investors, advisors (tax, legal, estate).
- Serve as steward of integrity and capital: uphold high ethical standards, ensure alignment between incentives and outcomes.
- Stay adaptive: respond to changing market conditions, regulatory environments, and emerging risks.

Experience & Qualifications
- Many years (e.g. 12-20+) of investment leadership across multiple asset classes - public equities, private markets, alternatives, etc.
- Experience in a family office, multi-family office, investment fund, or similarly complex investment organisation (e.g., Ex-Goldman Sachs PWM, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, UBS Global Family Office Group, Credit Suisse Private Bank, Citi Private Bank, Family or similar)
- Demonstrated track record of successful strategy development, manager selection, execution, and portfolio oversight.
- Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CAIA, etc.) or equivalent professional credentials preferred.
- Strong ethical standards, high emotional intelligence, and ability to operate with discretion.
