Job description

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the distributor and its principals.
  • Ensure alignment and achievement of annual business objectives.
  • Monitor relationship performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Regulatory :

  • Follow up & collaborate with the regulatory team to secure product registrations, renewals, and approvals.

Business Development & Market Access :

  • Ensure the inclusion of new pipelines of our principals to expand the portfolio within the UAE market.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating with regulatory, supply chain, marketing, distribution, and sales teams.
  • Negotiate and manage agreements with Principals to optimize market access and sales efficiency.

Supply Chain, Demand Planning & Inventory Management :

  • Ensure seamless coordination between Principals and the distributor to prevent supply disruptions.
  • Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and manage order flow to ensure consistent product availability.
  • Work with logistics teams to resolve supply chain bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure on-time principals’ payables and receivables.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to resolve any financial disagreements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, claim structures, and timely collections.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management :

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders from principal companies.
  • Represent the distributor in meetings, conferences, and strategic discussions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring a positive corporate reputation and industry presence.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or life sciences.

Skills & Professional Requirements :

  • Experience managing key account relationships at operational levels.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry – preferably in distribution.
  • Required UAE and / or GCC experience; international experience a bonus.
