Job description

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead one of our clients organization within the shipbuilding and repair sector. As the CEO, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational performance, and financial growth of the company, while ensuring excellence in execution, innovation, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires an exceptional leader with deep industry expertise, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to scale a business in a highly competitive and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s long-term strategic roadmap aligned with its mission and growth objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities across the maritime and defense sectors, including regional and international expansion.
  • Build and lead a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

2. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee all day-to-day business operations, ensuring world-class execution in shipbuilding and repair services.
  • Drive operational efficiency through process optimization, lean methodologies, and effective project management.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence across all production and service delivery functions.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure revenue growth and long-term profitability.
  • Drive cost optimization and strategic investment planning to maximize shareholder value.
  • Implement robust financial controls, performance tracking, and risk management frameworks.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, government bodies, regulatory authorities, and shareholders.
  • Serve as the company’s external face at industry events, forums, and strategic partnerships to elevate brand visibility and credibility.
  • Ensure stakeholder interests are aligned with corporate strategy and growth goals.

5. Governance & Compliance

  • Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ethics, and transparency.
  • Ensure full compliance with maritime regulations, environmental standards, and local / international legal requirements.
  • Foster a culture of integrity and social responsibility across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Proven track record as a CEO or senior executive within the shipbuilding, maritime, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of shipbuilding processes, emerging technologies, and global market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive business transformation.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing large-scale budgets and investment portfolios.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Maritime Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
