Our client is launching a new regional asset manager in the UAE. Backed by an established financial group with a strong track record across MENA, this venture is poised to become a leading force in institutional and high-net-worth financial services, with a mission to deliver performance-driven investment solutions, regional expertise, and innovation in asset management.

Role Summary

As CEO, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, launching core services, and leading the commercial, operational, and regulatory build-up of the firm. You will drive growth, profitability, and market share, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the firm’s strategic plan within asset management.
• Lead market entry strategy, platform buildout, and licensing processes in close coordination with regulatory bodies (e.g., SCA, DFSA, ADGM).
• Oversee operational setup, talent acquisition, and product development.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with regulators, institutional clients, and regional investors.
• Lead capital raising initiatives for funds, mandates, and investment products.
• Maintain high standards of corporate governance, risk management, and compliance in line with UAE regulations.
• Report to the Board and provide regular updates on strategy, financials, and key risk areas.
• Represent the firm as a spokesperson and thought leader in regional financial markets.

Key Requirements

• 15+ years of leadership experience in asset management, with prior CEO, MD, or business head experience preferred.
• Proven ability to scale financial services businesses in the GCC or wider MENA region.
• Deep understanding of UAE financial regulatory environment (SCA, DFSA, ADGM).
• Strong commercial acumen and a robust network of institutional and high-net-worth clients.
• Experience managing P&L, compliance, and investment products across asset classes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams from the ground up.
