Job summary

GURBAX TECHNICAL in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Estimator for roads and infrastructure to support bid preparation, cost estimation, and tender submissions.

You will analyze drawings, BOQs, and supplier quotes, coordinate with planning and procurement, and ensure compliance with e-tendering platforms like SAP Ariba, DMT and CMW. UAE experience and main contractor background preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of estimating experience in roads and infrastructure.
• UAE experience required; main contractor background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings, BOQs and specifications.
• Prepare pre-qualification documents and tender requirements.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Submit tenders through e-tendering portals including SAP Ariba, DMT, CMW.
• Coordinate with planning, procurement and project teams.
• Prepare rate analyses and tender clarifications.
• Maintain tender records and a cost database.

Job Responsibilities

• Study tender documents drawings BOQs and specifications
• Prepare pre-qualification documents and requirements for tenders
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and submit tenders through e-tendering portals including SAP Ariba DMT CMW etc
• Coordinate with planning procurement and project teams
• Prepare rate analysis bid comparisons and tender clarifications
• Maintain tender records and a cost database

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of estimating experience in roads and infrastructure
• Experience with SAP Ariba, DMT, CMW projects and other tendering platforms
• Preferably worked with a main contractor
• Good knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-off and rate analysis
• Proficient in MS Excel; estimating software is an advantage
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• UAE experience required
