Job summary

Volantes Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Chief Engineer – Battery & Energy Storage in Dubai to lead the design, development, integration and certification of advanced aircraft battery systems.

The successful candidate will own the battery architecture, oversee BMS and HV systems, and coordinate with electrical, propulsion and airworthiness teams to meet safety and performance requirements for next-generation aerospace platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering field.
Extensive experience with advanced battery systems and high-voltage energy storage.
Proven leadership at Chief Engineer, Head of Engineering or equivalent level.
Strong expertise in lithium-ion battery technologies, BMS and HV electrical systems.
Experience leading design, testing and qualification of complex battery systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for aircraft battery and energy storage systems.
Lead HV battery architectures and BMS design and integration.
Define technical requirements, performance specs and interfaces.
Oversee battery testing, qualification and certification activities.
Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams across electrical, propulsion, thermal, structures and airworthiness.
Engage with aviation certification authorities as needed.
