Chief Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Oversee maintenance and upgrades of equipment and facilities to maximize operational efficiency and reliability.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage budgets for engineering projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial targets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align engineering initiatives with organizational goals and customer needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential engineering challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related fields) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive engineering experience in a relevant hospitality industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
• Proven experience managing large-scale engineering projects, showcasing ability to deliver on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards relevant to engineering practices in the industry.
• Demonstrated technical skills in project management software, CAD tools, and engineering simulation software.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a history of fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing engineering challenges.
• Physical ability to navigate job sites and participate in on-site inspections and evaluations.
