JOB PURPOSE
Manage and oversee all work in preauditing payroll transactions and payroll file maintenance in the payroll section.
KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Run monthly payroll for all employees by liaising with HR to obtain time keeping records, computing payroll deductions, verifying allowances, and payroll computed by the system according to the government rules and regulations.
- Conduct the reconciliation between the payroll and General Ledger transactions.
- Modify and correct the differences in the system which occur during the verifying and reviewing process of the payroll transactions according to the government rules and regulations.
- Ensure that all inaccurate transactions are identified and recommend adjustment procedures.
- Prepare reports for different departments and review their payments and transfer them.
- Analyze the transactions which are inaccurate and against the law that occurred during the verifying and reviewing of the transactions and payments, and submit a report to the supervisor for discussion and approval.
- Provide periodic reconciliation of the general ledger accounts for all payroll heads and entries.
- Identify process improvement initiatives in the payroll systems.
- Review the semimonthly payroll reconciliations since the previous audit.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities associated with the position.
Qualifications :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounts / Business / Finance from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years experience in an accounting function.
- Numerical and analytical skills, GRP financial system, Financial and Accounting principles.
- Computer literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering a wide variety of applications.
