Job summary

Radisson Hotel Fujairah is seeking a Chief Accountant to join our opening team, responsible for establishing robust financial controls and ensuring accurate reporting in a luxury hotel environment.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will oversee day-to-day accounting, close processes, audits, and compliance with UAE regulations, working across departments to safeguard financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel accounting, preferably as a Chief Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel finance and accounting procedures.
• Good understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and relevant financial regulations.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• UAE hotel experience and pre-opening experience are advantages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities of the hotel and ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
• Support the Director of Finance in the preparation of monthly financial statements management reports forecasts and other financial information
• Manage the month-end closing process ensuring all reconciliations accruals and journal entries are completed accurately and on time
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure outstanding items are investigated and resolved promptly
• Oversee accounts payable accounts receivable income audit general ledger and other accounting functions
• Ensure effective financial controls are maintained across hotel operations in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Support internal and external audits and ensure audit requirements and recommendations are addressed in a timely manner

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with strong hotel accounting experience and a passion for accuracy and excellence We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chief Accountant to join our opening team and play a key role in establishing and maintaining strong financial controls and processes at Radisson Hotel Fujairah Reporting to the Director of Finance the Chief Accountant will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions of the hotel ensuring accurate financial reporting effective controls and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
