Job summary

Grand Mercure Dubai City, part of Accor, seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to lead daily accounting operations and support the Financial Controller.

The role emphasizes month-end close, bank reconciliations, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and Accor policies, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and hotel finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations, controls, and staff mentoring.
• Verify daily bank balances and credit card reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of General Cashier reports and daily revenue deposits.
• Perform month-end accounts reconciliation of all general ledger balances.
• Review monthly reports including F&B and Cost Controller reports.
• Ensure timely tax payments and filings.
• Prepare various monthly management reports.
• Assist the Financial Controller with budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting policy application.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting records and contracts.
• Stay updated with new regulations and Accor policies.
