Job summary

Agile Consultants in Ras Al Khaimah seeks a detail-oriented Chemist for a leading cement manufacturing company. You will perform daily chemical analyses of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, and maintain quality records to support plant performance.

The ideal candidate has cement plant laboratory experience, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to quality, process optimization, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of cement plant experience.
• Experience in cement plant laboratory operations and quality control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical analysis of products on a daily basis.
• Maintain accuracy in testing and correlate results with plant performance.
• Maintain records of analysis and support the Quality Control Engineer in day-to-day activities.
• Coordinate with Shift Chemists and perform shift chemist duties as and when required.
• Introduce and implement cost-saving methods and evaluate alternative raw material options.
• Maintain records of chemicals and monitor consumption patterns.
• Raise timely chemical requirements to the Quality Control Engineer.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, including furnaces, heaters, Blaine apparatus, and other testing equipment.
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained at the highest standards within the laboratory.
• Train personnel through knowledge-sharing initiatives and training programs.
• Identify potential areas for optimization of quality modulus parameters.
• Monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) within the section.
• Carry out various assignments as directed by the Quality Control Engineer or Quality Control Manager.
