Job Description

• Assist in developing new formulations for construction chemicals such as grouts, adhesives, and waterproofing solutions.
• Support the optimization of existing formulations for enhanced performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
• Perform routine testing and analysis of production batches to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document, retain, and analyze samples for quality consistency and trend monitoring.
• Assist in developing and updating quality control protocols and procedures.
• Conduct evaluations of incoming raw materials to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain thorough documentation of raw material assessments and testing outcomes.
• Collaborate with the R&D Manager to address raw material-related challenges.

Desired Candidate Profile

The Chemist will be responsible for supporting the R&D and Quality Control (QC) functions, contributing to the development and testing of high-quality construction chemical solutions. This role includes formulation development, batch testing, raw material evaluation, and assisting with product optimization under the guidance of the R&D Manager.

• The ideal candidate must have expertise in cement chemistry, polymer chemistry (resins and epoxies), or a related discipline
• Hands-on experience in formulation development, R&D, and quality control testing - MUST
• Master’s degree in Chemistry, with specialization in cement chemistry, polymer chemistry (resins and epoxies), or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role within the construction chemicals industry.
