Overview

Technical Sales Manager - Chemicals

Work Location: Dubai based with 25% frequent business travel around the GCC region.

Salary Package: AED 22K to 27K per month (total cash lump sum inclusive of Basic Salary, Housing Allowance, Transport Allowance, Flights Allowance) + Extras: Family Medical Insurance + Family Visa + Bonus (15% of annual basic salary = performance based).

Sector: Chemical, petrochemical, downstream, oil & gas.

A leading manufacturing company specialised in chemicals that are sold to gas processing plants and refineries within the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors across the globe. They are looking for a hungry, technically competent Operations Engineer, Process Engineer or Chemical Engineer or Sales Engineer with a background in Chemical Engineering, who wants to progress their career in a technical (70%) and commercial (30%) sales role, which requires customer visits to the major oil & gas, petrochemical players around the Gulf region.

Responsibilities / Role Focus

  • Position focus: technical (70%) and commercial (30%) sales with customer visits to oil & gas and petrochemical clients in the Gulf region.
  • Engage with end users and potential clients to promote products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align technical offerings with customer needs.
Required Profile
  • 3-7 years total career experience. This is not a senior level role.
  • Ideally has worked as an Operations Engineer or Process Engineer or Chemical Engineer for an EPC company or operator company or chemical manufacturing business, then moved into technical product focused sales within the oil & gas, petrochemicals, refineries for a further couple of years.
  • Middle East work experience is essential. Familiar with end clients such as Qatar Gas, Aramco, ADNOC as well as other petrochemical and oil & gas majors in the Gulf region.
  • Fluent in English. Arabic or Hindi fluency is advantageous.
  • Technical knowledge of adsorbents / desiccants / molecular sieves / silicone gels used in gas plants and petrochemical facilities will be advantageous.
  • Qualifications: Chemical Engineering degree - must have.
