Qualifications

• A master's degree in chemical engineering/science from an accredited institution is required
• NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health
• Valid UAE-Driving license
• Minimum of 10 in the HS&E field in industrial plants, oil fields, chemical industries or construction sites
• Fluent in English
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Chemical identification and classification (GHS, UN standards)
  • COSHH assessment
  • Chemical storage conditions and open yard storage regulations
  • Firefighting systems, emergency response, and risk management
  • Chemical incompatibilities and segregation practices
  • Waste management and disposal methods
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements
  • Common chemistry, Chemical Abstracts Service
  • Chemical related RAKEZ, federal, local and international regulatory requirements
  • PPE requirements and occupational health & safety standards
• Good Knowledge of HS&E policy and procedures and relevant Workplace Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Up-to-date knowledge of occupational HS&E-related legislation, Codes of Practice, and guidance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, projects, etc.) and any other required program
