Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and present a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts to meet the highest culinary standards.
  2. Follow established recipes and production techniques to ensure consistency in quality and presentation.
  3. Assist in the creation and innovation of new pastry and dessert items.
  4. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic pastry section at all times.
  5. Ensure proper stock levels and manage inventory for all pastry ingredients.
  6. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  7. Supervise and train junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
  8. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  9. Assist in managing daily operations of the pastry section in the absence of senior staff.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry in a high-volume kitchen.
  2. Ability to join immediately or within a short notice period.
  3. Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and dessert presentation.
  4. Creativity and passion for pastry and dessert innovation.
  5. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
  6. Excellent communication and team-working skills.
  7. A culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
