Job summary

Novotel World Trade Centre in Dubai is seeking an experienced Chef De Partie to oversee a specific kitchen station, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and plating meet the hotel’s quality standards. You will work under the Sous Chef or Head Chef and collaborate with other chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests.

You will train junior cooks, ensure food safety, and contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings, while maintaining a collaborative and professional kitchen

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent culinary certification preferred.
• Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment with expertise in a specific culinary station or cuisine.
• Strong culinary skills, creativity, and attention to detail in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plate presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to collaborate with kitchen staff, management, and guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment and multitask during peak service periods.
• Certification in food safety and/or culinary arts may be required depending on local regulations

Responsibilities

• Oversee a specific kitchen station, ensuring quality and consistency of dishes.
• Monitor inventory and ensure supplies meet production needs.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines.
• Coordinate with fellow chefs to ensure timely preparation and plating during service.
• Lead and mentor junior cooks and apprentices at the assigned station.
• Collaborate with Sous/Head Chef on recipes, costing, and menu planning.
• Maintain high presentation standards aligned with the hotel’s culinary concept.
• Assist in inventory management and vendor relations as needed.
