Job description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team specializing in Asian cuisine. As CDP, you will manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., wok, dim sum, sushi, grill, noodles) and ensure high standards of preparation, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.

What you will be doing:
  1. Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus.
  2. Ensure consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
  3. Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and strive for guest feedback.
  4. Oversee food preparation and production for your assigned section.
  5. Ensure proper mise en place and maintain freshness and quality of all ingredients.
  6. Prepare dishes following traditional and modern Asian recipes with authenticity and flair.
  7. Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to plan menus and specials.
  8. Train and supervise junior staff and commis chefs in your station.
  9. Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  10. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  1. At least 2 years of experience as CDP for A la Carte Restaurants.
  2. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of guests.
  3. Expertise in Asian cuisine.
  4. Culinary education background and qualifications.
  5. Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
  6. Strong background in Asian cuisine e.g., Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, or Southeast Asian.
  7. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with traditional Asian cooking techniques (e.g., wok cooking, sushi rolling, steaming, fermentation).
  8. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  9. Team player with leadership potential and good communication skills.
