Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, mise en place, and cooking under the guidance of the Sous Chef.
- Cooking: Execute assigned cooking tasks, ensuring dishes meet recipes and hotel quality standards.
- Station Management: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of your kitchen section.
- Quality Control: Ensure dishes' quality, taste, and presentation meet hotel standards before serving.
- Safety and Hygiene: Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food.
- Menu Development: Support development of new menu items, test recipes, and suggest improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering, and manage inventory.
- Training: Mentor junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and apprentices.
- Adaptability: Be flexible to work in various kitchen sections as needed.
Qualifications:
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent training.
- Experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong culinary skills and passion for cooking.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Currently based in UAE and available to join immediately (preferred).
