Key Responsibilities:
  1. Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, mise en place, and cooking under the guidance of the Sous Chef.
  2. Cooking: Execute assigned cooking tasks, ensuring dishes meet recipes and hotel quality standards.
  3. Station Management: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning of your kitchen section.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure dishes' quality, taste, and presentation meet hotel standards before serving.
  5. Safety and Hygiene: Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food.
  6. Menu Development: Support development of new menu items, test recipes, and suggest improvements.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering, and manage inventory.
  9. Training: Mentor junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and apprentices.
  10. Adaptability: Be flexible to work in various kitchen sections as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent training.
  • Experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong culinary skills and passion for cooking.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Currently based in UAE and available to join immediately (preferred).
