Job Overview

The candidate must have experience in the SHIPPING INDUSTRY. We have two job locations: Mumbai & Dubai.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Bulk Carrier Operation knowledge and experience is required
• Chartering or Fixing ocean freight for Time Charter or Voyage Charter
• Negotiation of the Charter Party
• Weekly market review and making an internal report
• General sales action for building a relationship with our customer and client
• Review and Analysis of Voyage profitability
• Fixing of COA and/or CVC, FFA contract and renewal

Educational and Experience Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in chartering, shipping, or freight forwarding.
• Proven track record in managing chartering operations and negotiations.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of maritime regulations, shipping industry trends, and market dynamics.
• Familiarity with chartering agreements and maritime law.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate and optimize chartering strategies.
• Proficiency in using chartering software and tools for route planning and operational management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Experience in managing and leading a team, with strong leadership qualities.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and contracts.
• Established relationships within the maritime industry and a strong network of contacts.
