Job description

We are looking for an experienced Chartering Manager with 3+ years of experience in the maritime industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial operations of the fleet, including the negotiation of charter parties, fixing of cargoes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the commercial operations of the fleet, including the negotiation of charter parties and the fixing of cargoes.
  2. Ensure the timely and efficient execution of all charter party agreements.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including ship owners, brokers, and customers.
  4. Monitor market conditions and trends to ensure competitive rates and profitable operations.
  5. Provide market insights and intelligence to senior management.
  6. Develop and maintain an effective risk management strategy for the dry bulk fleet.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  8. Work closely with other departments, including operations, technical, and finance, to ensure seamless operations.
  9. Manage a team of chartering executives and ensure their professional development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in dry bulk chartering.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the international maritime industry and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
