Chartering Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chartering Manager for our client in Dubai. The client is a leading specialised services provider in Chartering, Freight Forwarding etc. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the chartering operations, developing strong client relationships, and negotiating successful cargo contracts. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a passion for the maritime industry to drive our business objectives forward.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement chartering strategies to maximize profitability and market share.
2. Negotiate charter party agreements and contracts with ship owners and brokers.
3. Manage relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
4. Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
5. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient shipping processes.
6. Prepare reports on chartering activities, financial performance, and market insights for senior management.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in chartering within the shipping or maritime industry.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
4. Proven ability to build and maintain successful business relationships.
5. Analytical mindset with a keen eye for market trends.
6. Proficient in industry-related software and tools.
7. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
