Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi seeks a Charge Nurse to oversee daily operations, patient flow and staffing in the clinical area, lead care delivery and supervise support staff, while upholding the highest ethical and clinical standards with the Nurse Manager and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing, active RN license (Canada/USA/UK/Ireland/South Africa/New Zealand/Australia or UAE), at least six years post-qualification clinical experience and two years

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of clinical experience post-qualification in relevant healthcare settings.
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience in a unit.
• ACLS/PALS certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide patient and family-centered care.
• Coordinate staffing and skill mix with the Nurse Manager to ensure safe patient care.
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching on shift.
• Ensure unit resources are used efficiently and safely.
• Provide comprehensive clinical handover and discharge planning.
