Role

Key responsibilities

The Change Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

Change Request Management

  1. Initiate, document, and manage the entire change request process for modifications to the technology platform, database schema, configuration files, IT infrastructure, game rules, hardware, and technical/user documentation.
  2. Populate and maintain the Change Request Form (CRF), ensuring accurate classification of change levels (Level 1, 2, or 3) and categories (Routine, Standard, Emergency).
  3. Conduct impact assessments with stakeholders to evaluate effects on system integrity, security, compliance, and player experience.
  4. Submit change requests to the Change Review Board (Gaming Controls Committee) and secure approvals from designated authorities.

Change Implementation Oversight

  1. Coordinating the implementation of approved changes in collaboration with the Maintenance Team Senior Manager, ensuring compliance with established protocols and schedules.
  2. Coordinate with the Head of Change in supporting presentations to regulatory bodies for Level 2 and Level 3 changes requiring external approval or recertification.
  3. Develop and validate comprehensive rollback plans for all changes prior to submission to the Change Review Board, ensuring contingency measures are in place.

Production Environment Integrity

  1. Ensure that unapproved code or test software is not deployed to the production environment by generating and maintaining file signatures (hashes) for approved changes.
  2. Collaborate with the Senior Maintenance Manager to verify file signatures before deployment and prevent the use of production data (including PII) in test environments.

Emergency Change Management

  1. Coordinate rapid documentation, justification, and approval processes for emergency changes, ensuring swift resolution of critical issues (e.g., security threats, revenue risks, or compliance concerns).

Documentation and Compliance

  1. Maintain the Change Management Log (CML) with detailed records of all changes, including dates, components affected, approval details, and implementation outcomes.
  2. Update and maintain the Critical Asset Register (CAR) with version numbers and SHA1 hashes for platform files, focusing on critical components (e.g., game rules, RNG).
  3. Notify the Technology Operations Director and Lottery Compliance Director to update technical and user documentation post-change.

Training and Communication

  1. Facilitate training sessions with other relevant stakeholders to enhance staff understanding of the change management process, collaborating with the Momentum Ethics and Compliance Department.
  2. Ensure transparent communication across departments to maintain alignment during change processes.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  1. Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess change effectiveness and identify issues, coordinating with the Enterprise Risk and Assurance Director for independent verification.
  2. Develop metrics and reporting systems to evaluate change initiative outcomes, presenting findings to the Change Review Board.

Regulatory and Risk Management

  1. Liaise with regulatory agencies and testing laboratories to secure approvals and certifications for changes.
  2. Ensure patch installations adhere to prioritized timelines (e.g., CVSS score 7+ within 7 days, score ≤6 within 30 days) and change management procedures.

Skills Required

  1. Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to maintaining system integrity and compliance.
  2. Ability to work under pressure, particularly during emergency change scenarios.
  3. Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, IT operations, or a related field, preferably within the gaming or regulated technology sector – but open to other sectors.
  3. Proven track record of managing complex technical changes in a production environment.
  4. Experience working with regulatory bodies and compliance frameworks.
