Job summary

Mtec Electromechanical Works LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking skilled plumbers and pipefitters to install water supply, drainage, and sanitary piping systems using a range of materials on on-site projects. You will install fixtures, fabricate supports, ensure alignment, and perform testing per project specs.

You will coordinate with engineers and QA/QC personnel, follow ITPs, and uphold HSE standards to ensure safe, compliant operation and timely commissioning of systems.

Responsibilities

• Install water supply, drainage, and sanitary piping systems using PPR, PVC, HDPE, Copper, and GI pipes as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Install plumbing fixtures and equipment including washbasins, water closets (WCs), urinals, kitchen sinks, water heaters, pumps, valves, and accessories.
• Fabricate and install pipe fittings, supports, hangers, clamps, sleeves, and brackets using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper pipe alignment, leveling, jointing, pressure ratings, and drainage slopes during installation.
• Conduct pressure testing, leakage testing, flushing, and functional testing of plumbing systems.
• Install water meters, PRVs, NRVs, strainers, and other control valves according to system requirements.
• Install and test firefighting piping systems, including sprinkler piping, valves, and associated accessories, where applicable.
• Ensure pipe routing complies with coordination drawings and avoids clashes with mechanical, electrical, and structural services.
• Verify that all materials, fittings, valves, sealants, and accessories meet approved project specifications.
• Assist with system flushing, chlorination, disinfection, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate daily activities with engineers, supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct self-inspections to ensure work complies with approved drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality standards.
• Support QA/QC inspections and promptly rectify any observations or non-conformities.
• Maintain proper storage, handling, and care of plumbing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Follow all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, wear required PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Site Supervisor or Project Engineer.
