Job Description

Saab Business Area Surveillance executes a Logistic and Technical Support Contract for the Saab Global Eye AEW&C system delivered to the UAE in 2020. Saab is assisting the customer in establishing a complete Aircraft Line & Base Maintenance facility and supporting their daily flight operations.

Work Schedule: The working hours include both day and night shifts.

Some initial Ex-pat staff will conclude their contracts in early 2025; therefore, replacements are needed.

Your Role

As an EASA Part 66 certified B1 / B2 Aircraft Technician, you will be part of the regular maintenance team performing Line and Base Maintenance, supporting the operation of the special mission aircraft from the customer Airforce base.

You will also assist in task training on the aircraft and transfer technical knowledge to the customer's maintenance staff.

You will be stationed in Abu Dhabi for 1-3 years, employed and seconded by Saab AB as an expatriate.

Your Qualifications

You are an experienced EASA Part 66 certified Aircraft Technician B1 / B2, preferably with knowledge of Bombardier Global 6000 or similar aircraft.

You are fluent in technical English and willing to share your experience with the customer's staff. Good social and communication skills, along with experience working in an international environment, are advantageous.

You are eager to embrace new cultures, non-judgmental, tolerant, patient, flexible, and customer-focused.

This position requires passing a security vetting process according to current security regulations. Additional citizenship requirements may apply for security clearance.
